Are you ready for 2012?

2011 is coming to an end. What a year it has been. It's been a rough year indeed, living a new life without Grandma. Everything was start fresh since and now I've "kind of" adapted myself to all this changes. Graduated, got my first job and other than that, same old same old.

To be honest, I've stopped making new year's resolution cause I always thought it was useless. After a week or so into new years, and you can't even remember what your resolution was. But I'll tell you what I'll do for 2012. No more looking back on what I have decided to leave behind in 2011.

I am turning 24 next month and I've thought to myself that my life has to be more interesting. Maybe start taking care of myself better, do some adventurous activities with the friends that I love and travel more with Liven. I don't want anymore bitterness in my life nor do I want to be surrounded by haters no more. Trash talking me behind my back and what not, that is SO high school don't you think? Me keeping quiet doesn't mean I don't know. It just means that I'm not gona do the same thing to you. No more being a people pleaser, always giving in just cause "Mal is too afraid to lose her friends". Just because I have argued with a few friends in the past, doesn't make ME the problem. It just means that they were too egoistic to save the friendship therefore, I stopped trying to make ends meet. If these people appreciate my friendship more than a petty fight or their ego, I guess we'll all just be fine. It's so fed up isn't it, being the one who puts effort in every single shit just to save something which is supposed to be meaningful to both sides? Sigh. If you want me in your life, do something about it. If not, please, the door is always open.

I guess the only thing to do is to try to survive. Be happy for the better, be with people who wants you, be with the people who appreciates you and just be careful with who you mix with. Make friends at arms length, that is what I've learnt lately during my training in UOB. Its surprising how many things you learn during a training could actually apply to your real life story.

But it's never too late to apologize and to forgive. What is done is done. For my part, I want to apologize to those whom I've hurt and whom I've been mean to. I am who I am for a reason, I wont apologize for being myself but I believe there is always a room for change and that I will do. Life is a learning process, nothing happens overnight. So for my part, I apologize and for those who did me wrong in the past, I forgive you. :)

Let us all start fresh and just rejoice in enjoying our new year. Here's to 2012. Cheers! ;)
